Igniters


As a National Research Council Postdoc at the AFRL, Dr. Jacobsen - now president of GoHypersonic Inc. (GHI) - developed several igniters for hydrocarbon-fueled scramjet combustor applications. These igniters have been tested in several different supersonic wind tunnels and scramjet test combustors around the country. GHI is now selling DC plasma torches in addition to setup, data acquisition, and operational services to the aerospace community.

Scramjets


Hypersonic Engine and Vehicle Design


GHI uses Eco, a suite of tools created for scramjet engine/hypersonic vehicle design, integration and optimization. Eco was first developed under an Air Force Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract, which has led to several related Phase I and II SBIR programs and other business with the DOD and U.S. aerospace community.

Testing


GHI provides experimental testing servicers to the US aerospace communinty. Our team has a considerable amount of experience designing, building, and testing hypersonic engine and vehicle components and systems. Our team has experience testing at several national facilities around the nation and GHI can also provide fast-turn-around prototypical experiments in our supersonic wind tunnel at the GHI High-Speed Laboratory.
